KUALA LUMPUR: Repair work on Pier 28 of the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) flyover in Kepong will begin tomorrow, according to the Public Works Department.
The repair work will take three days, the department said in a statement here yesterday.
To ensure the public’s safety and smooth flow of traffic, roads under the flyover will be closed in stages during the period, the statement added.
Throughout the closure, the upper level of the flyover will still be open and can be accessed by all vehicles.
Motorists are urged to use the detours and alternative routes until the lower level of the MRR2 flyover is open again.
On Aug 3, three of the 18 carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic bars installed on pole 28 near the Kepong Komuter Station snapped, causing the structure to crack.
