Search and rescue resumed late last night at the Bukit Antarabangsa landslide site after police received reports that a Sri Lankan woman was missing, said Selangor Chief Police Officer DCP Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar.
He said that the woman was believed to have been with veterinarian Dr N. Yogeswary who was among the four who died on Saturday when the landslide hit the homes of sleeping residents early in the morning.
DCP Khalid said on Monday that rescue teams were, therefore, concentrating the search in the area where Dr Yogeswary was found.
Excavations and clearing of the landslide-hit area was halted Sunday due to strong earth movements.
More than 3,000 residents within a kilometre of the site were deemed to be in danger and were told Sunday to leave their homes but many are refusing to move even as continued overnight rain on Monday raised fresh fears of further landslides.
