"After hitting the animal, the vehicle went out of control and slammed into the road divider, overturned and ended up in the middle lane upside down," Ahmad Fadzillah told reporters on Thursday.
Abdullah had serious head injuries and was declared dead while being taken to the Sultan Ahmad Shah Hospital in Temerloh.
One of his co-passengers, Ahmad Kamal Abdul Malek, 50, was seriously injured and is being treated at the same hospital while the other passenger, Mohd Fazzri Mohd Amri, 22, had light injuries.
Ahmad Fadzillah said after the accident, another car, a Perodua Kelisa, also from Kuala Lumpur struck the dead cow and skidded but its driver, Sahlan Mat Nor, 22, only suffered light injuries.
Abdullah's body was taken to his village in Pulau Tambun, Pekan Thursday morning and he is expected to be buried after 'Zohor' prayers.
