It is also feared that a water tank belonging to Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) could topple and burst as it is located only five metres away from where the soil movements are taking place.
Officer-in-charge at the Sri Hartamas fire and rescue station, Johari Lazim, said the station received a call at 5.05pm today about the soil movements and would be monitoing the situation.
A resident, K. Jayasekara, 31, said he only realised the incident on hearing the fire-engine siren and was now worried about the safety of the area.
"Soil movements happened six years ago near the same road," said Jayasekara, who has been living in the area for almost 20 years.
