（檳城）檳州政府今日（週五，18日）宣佈減輕低收入者負擔的措施，包括居住在廉價屋與中低廉價屋的家庭將自動獲得州政府發放的100令吉補助金，以及赤貧家庭（月入少過460令吉）每月可獲得首3萬公升免費自來水。

檳州首席部長林冠英在新聞發佈會上透露，上述100令吉補助金將通過檳州水供機構發放給低收入家庭，即把有關款項直接匯入受惠家庭的水供機構戶頭。

他說，居住在廉價屋與中低廉價屋的家庭將自動享有以上優惠，無須提出申請。

非廉屋住戶須申請

“至於那些非居住在廉價屋或中低廉價屋，月入少過1500令吉的家庭，則必須提出申請，州政府將會審核申請表格，合格者方可獲得100令吉補助金。”

他指出，申請截止日期為今年9月30日，經過審核後，預料今年杪便可發放有關補助金。

林冠英是公佈他在6月透露的1000萬令吉濟貧計劃的落實方案。出席新聞發佈會者包括檳州水供機構總經理拿督查瑟尼以及第二副首長拉瑪沙米。

透過水費回扣補助金

他指出，受惠家庭料將超過10萬戶，而州政府所發放的有關撥款相信也會超過1000萬令吉。

他指出，州政府會在收集完整資料以及鑑定受惠家庭數據後，才公佈100令吉補助金的使用方案；不過，他認為最理想的是方法是透過水費回扣。

“我們之所以不考慮分派現金，主要是為了避免有關人士領取現金後，用作其他用途，而未讓家庭成員受惠。”

查瑟尼提醒民眾不必湧往水供機構辦事處索取申請表格，因為水表抄寫員在分發水費單時，會附上申請表格供合格家庭申請。
