Sumpah: Ramlang Mengaku Diarah.
Beliau enggan mengulas lanjut apabila ditanya maksudnya "atas sebab-sebab tertentu".
Mengulas lanjut mengenai majlis bersumpah Mohd Saiful, Ramlang berkata, beliau bukannya menjadi saksi sumpah Saiful.
"Apabila kebetulan Saiful tersalah sebut lafaz sumpahnya, oleh kerana saya berada di situ, jadi saya tegurlah," katanya.
Tiada kaitan

Fake Degree in Permatang Pauh?
Sree pointed out to me that there is not such institution as the Edison University of Technology. To give the YB the benefit of the doubt, it is very possible that the Star might have misquoted his education credentials. I knew a reporter who's a good friend who misheard Lim Si Pin, the Deputy Youth Chief of GERAKAN, and thought that he had double degrees from YALE while in fact, Si Pin had graduated from WALES.
So could it be possible that YB Arif Shah Oman Shah was pursuing a PhD at the Thomas Edison State College? Perhaps. Only problem is that this college does not offer than PhD programs whether it is in house or off campus. It only offers Masters level programs are none of them are Engineering programs which I assume is the PhD which the YB should be pursuing given his background.
Perhaps he's referring to Edison College, a small college in Florida? Could be but the only problem with that theory is that this is an undergraduate only institution. Nothing about PhDs or distance learning programs on its website.
Could he be referring to the Edison Welding Institute?
Maybe he decided to branch out of engineering and go into biotechnology and is doing a PhD with the Edison Institute of Biotechnology at the Ohio University?
This is the only reference I could find on the Edison Institute of Technology and it brings you to a rare book website selling a book that is signed by Thomas Edison and is selling for US2,500.
Maybe the YB actually didn't say Edison. Maybe he said Madison Institute of Cosmetology instead of the Edison Institute of Technology?
Or perhaps he was talking about the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) or maybe the California Institute of Technology (Caltech)?
Or it could have been the Mara Institute of Technology? Except that it is called UiTM now or University Teknologi Mara?
Let's hope that he's not referring to Edison University, apparently operated by the wife of Thomas James Kirk who is in prison for creating diploma mills.
My sense of the matter is this. Because of the immense competition that takes place in the context of UMNO politics, having a degree is becoming much more important than before. He probably felt the pressure of having only a Diploma and wanted to advance his academic credentials. Instead of doing a proper degree at the Bachelor's level or even an MBA from one of the local colleges (which does not require one to have a Bachelor's), he was probably thinking, why not go all out? Why not go for a PhD instead? And since there's no way that a full time politician has the time to do a PhD, why not take the shortcut and get a fake PhD? I'm not sure how he came across Edison University but it could have been one of the places which was promoting itself as a destination for obtaining fake PhDs. He might have enrolled in the course sometime back but then didn't follow up on the procedures to obtain this PhD. When the reporter asked him about his academic qualifications, he might have forgotten the exact name of the university and blurted out Edison Institute of Technology given that it was probably an engineering PhD he was pursuing.
I'll see if any of the editors of the online newspapers will bite on this. Thanks again Sree.

UMNO Suka Rasuah...hah hah hah...
Pengerusi lembaga, Tan Sri Tengku Ahmad Rithauddeen Tengku Ismail berkata sebanyak 13 aduan pula telah dihantar ke Borang "A" bagi bukti tambahan manakala 49 lagi dikategorikan sebagai tiada tindakan lanjut.
"Sehingga kini Lembaga Disiplin masih menerima aduan berhubung pelanggaran tataetika anggota Umno.

Kacau isteri: Anwar ancam saman Hamzah RM10 juta

PKR dakwa pengundi disogok wang

Sumpah: Pemuda PAS nafi cabar Anwar
"Ia menimbulkan pelbagai persepsi (orang ramai).

Berita Susulan :
ACA delves into IT project involving firm with Israeli directors
KUALA LUMPUR: The Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) is investigating how a little-known IT company with little experience became the local partner in the RM1bil project to upgrade the Royal Malaysian Police's communication systems from analogue-based to digital.
The project has since been scaled down.
According to sources, the ACA was also probing how a Singapore-based company, several of whose directors are Israeli nationals, was awarded a slice of the project when it was against the Government's directive to do so.
The Israelis are said to be former officers in the Israeli Air Force.
The upgrading of the communications system would enable traffic policemen, those in mobile patrol vehicles and beat-duty policemen to communicate with each other and with their control centres.
The sources said the authorities had begun their preliminary inquiries into the companies to ascertain whether there was any irregularity in the awarding of the project and whether they could pose a security risk.
They said the ACA would call up several people, including police officers and senior government officials to assist in investigations following allegations that the company does not possess the requisite expertise.
It is learnt the Home Ministry had first awarded the RM980mil upgrading project to a well-known multi-national company in February.
However, in March, the company was informed that a local IT company had been appointed as local partner for the project, causing eyebrows to be raised.
With the latest development, sources said the IT company’s involvement in the project has since been limited to enable further discussions on the matter.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said police were aware of the involvement of the Israelis in their communications systems upgrading project.
“We informed the Home Ministry as soon as we learnt about it,” he said, declining to elaborate.
It is learnt that the Government has decided to scale down the project for the time being and had only approved its first phase, estimated to cost around RM42mil.
The IGP had last October announced that the police planned to equip their personnel with hand-held computers, and micro-cameras fitted into walkie-talkies, as part of a massive plan to beef up the force's capability.
He had said the police wanted to use such high-tech devices and set up a network of camera surveillance systems to fight crime more effectively.
Musa said the force needed to have an e-solution system that would enable them to communicate with police helicopters, airplanes and marine police as well as with their mobile police vehicles.
“The Bukit Aman control centre will use the latest high-tech devices and communication systems to relay, monitor and coordinate operations throughout the country,” he said.

1 Dunia Tau Tapi 1 Malaysia Belum Tau..!
Berita kat bawah ni pulak semua media UMNO/BN tak ambil kesah...tutup lah...diluar sana hangpa boleh tutup.didalam sini kami sebarkan kepengetahuan umum...berita ni dah berlalu 4 hari lepas...saje aku bukak balik sebab aku tau......tak ramai yang tahu.
"CM (Musa) marah betul atas kebodohan Michael Chia kerana bawa wang tunai.
Konspirasi!- Ngeh Koo Ham

Rasuah Perak: Ada Rahsia Cuba Disembunyi..?
Mungkin sibengong Tajol ni dah sampai tahap meroyan gila talakkan kuasa MB.entah...aku tak tau...mampuih pi la dia...TAPI......
Dari pemerhatian aku, usaha bersungguh-sungguh untuk jatuhkan Kerajaan Negeri Perak ni bersebab.sebabnya masih dalam siasatan kami & aku yakin sangat-sangat, ada sesuatu yang puaka-puaka ni takutkan.mungkin puaka-puaka ni pernah buat sesuatu PENYELEWENGAN YANG BESAR semasa puaka-puaka ini mentadbir negeri Perak.
Puaka-puaka ni mungkin terdesak takut selewengan depa ni lambat laun dikehui oleh Kerajaan negeri Perak sekarang...jadi sebelum terbongkar...usaha menjatuhkan Kerajaan Perak sekarang mesti dibuat.
MESTI ADA UDANG SEBALIK BATU..!
Tunggu...bangkai hangpa tak leh tutup dengan daun pisang...pasai satu hari nanti pasti Tok Wan yang meniaga nasik lemak akan jumpa...kalau dah Tok Wan jumpa bangkai tu...hangpa tunggu la...1 kampung geger..!
Anwar: Malaysia government backs Israel
"I have evidence proving that the government is backing the Jewish lobby in the US and some parties inside Israel," Anwar told IslamOnline.net in an exclusive interview.
Anwar, a former deputy premier who is contesting a by-election as the next step in his plan to become premier, declined to elaborate on the nature of the support or his evidence.
Malaysia, a Muslim Asian giant, does not have diplomatic relations with Israel.
After the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005 following decades of military occupation, it denied reports the move would change its position on relations with Israel.
"Tel Aviv has yet to fulfil certain conditions," Foreign Ministry parliamentary secretary Ahmad Shabery Cheek said at the time.
"Therefore there is no reason why Malaysia should review its current stand."
Former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who retired in 2003 after 22 years in power, had angered Israel just before his retirement when he said that Jews rule the world by proxy, getting others to fight and die for them.
Anwar again refuted charges of sodomy made by Mohamad Saiful Bukhari Azlan, a 23-year-old former aide.
"These accusations are nothing but propaganda and mere fabrication," he told IOL.
Anwar was accused of sodomy in court this month, but the charge indicated the alleged sex act was consensual.
Mohamad Saiful said last Friday that the alleged sex act was not consensual, and that it "happened by force, without my permission."
He was photographed last week at a city mosque, swearing on the Quran that he was telling the truth.
Anwar insists the charges have been engineered by the government to prevent him from seizing power after landmark March elections.
"They are a bid by the government to ... stumble my bid to lead the country."
Anwar led a three-party opposition alliance to astonishing victories in the March general election, seizing control over five of Malaysia's 13 states and a third of the parliament seats.
Sodomy, even between consenting adults, is illegal in Muslim-majority Malaysia.
If convicted, Anwar will be handed down a 20-year jail sentence which will end his political ambitions.
The sodomy charge against Anwar, who had served in various portfolios before becoming deputy premier in 1993, is the second in a decade.
He was found guilty of sodomy in 2000 and sentenced nine years in prison but released after four after the highest court overturned his conviction.
Anwar ridiculed accusations of being a US "lackey".
"These accusations are nothing but propaganda to tarnish the opponents' reputation."
He said he has been a vocal opponent of the US-led war on Iraq and its so-called war on terror.
"But this does not mean I would engage in a war against the US."
The opposition leader also took a swipe at Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's flagship Islam Hadhari project.
"There is only one Islam," Anwar said.
"Claiming that there is Islam Hadhari means that there is a 'bad' Islam."
Islam Hadhari is the brainchild of Abdullah, who maintains it is derived from the core principles and teachings of Islam.
It aims to present the civilised image of Islam as a faith that caters for all social, political and economic needs of the human beings.
"Action speaks louder than words," Anwar said.
"How can we propagate this project at a time we are plagued by corruption, poor education and a crumbling economic system." — The Palestine Chronicle

Anwar wants Toh Kin Woon to be PKR adviser
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 — Wasting no time, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has offered an advisory role to former Gerakan leader Datuk Dr Toh Kin Woon less than 24 hours after he resigned from the party.
At a press conference in Permatang Pauh today, where the PKR leader is campaigning for the Aug 26 by-election, Anwar asked the ex-Gerakan central committee and Penang state exco member to advise the party on good governance.
When asked why the press conference was held, he explained that the group had agreed to the pre-arranged event but had no idea that an actual press conference would be held, believing it to be a "photo opportunity" only.
At the press conference, Toh denied that his show of support for PKR was a betrayal of Gerakan since he had resigned from the party and would not be joining PKR or any other party.
He said that he supported Anwar's by-election campaign as PKR's ideals were similar to the founding principles of Gerakan.
"I am, in a sense, continuing with the ideals of Gerakan, only on a different platform."
He said that he would not hesitate to criticise the de facto opposition leader should he fail to hold on to these these principles in the future.
Toh had resigned from Gerakan yesterday citing a desire to focus on NGO work. This came after he had openly declared his support for Anwar's candidacy and earlier in the year, had suggested that Gerakan consider leaving BN.

No escape from race politics
They were almost all Malay-Muslim and conservative — even young girls wore the tudung.
The rally was, after all, held at the village base of the Islamist Pas, a partner in Anwar's opposition Pakatan Rakyat alliance.
The warm-up speaker was Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin, an urbane Pas leader who leads one of Malaysia's most multiracial states, and whose ability to spout a smattering of Mandarin and Tamil has won the hearts of non-Malays.
He recited a Quranic verse that explained it was a religious dictum for different races to get along.
“That is the very creed of Pakatan Rakyat,” he told the 500-strong crowd in Kampung Petani.
That is the message of Anwar and his coalition partners, and he is holding firm even in the face of accusations that he has sold out Malay interests to further his personal ambition to become prime minister.
Anwar is contesting a by-election in this predominantly Malay constituency in his bid to return to Parliament.
He told the crowd he had not abandoned his identity as a Malay and Muslim, “but we want new politics in Malaysia”.
“The Chinese live here, the Indians live here, are we to ask them to go back? They don't have anywhere else to go. We give them justice, no problem about that,” he said.
It was this same multiracial message that won the Pakatan significant support from non-Malays in the March 8 general election which changed the shape of Malaysian politics.
Led by the astute Anwar, his coalition partners — especially Pas — toned down their race rhetoric.
And the ruling Barisan Nasional saw its non-Malay support plunge from a steady 50-plus per cent of Chinese and 80 per cent of Indians to about 30 per cent.
Almost six months on, the non-Malays are in no hurry to return to the BN fold.
Two of the BN's main component parties — the MCA and MIC — remain mired in crisis over their relevance.
In turn, the dominance of Umno, the Malay-based backbone of the BN, is becoming ever more apparent, further alienating non-Malays.
An MIC grassroots member in Permatang Pauh told The Straits Times he would not vote for the BN as long as it was unable to defend minority interests.
Like him, many non-Malays now see Umno as arrogant and racist after it ratcheted up its Malay rhetoric in recent years.
So it would seem to the casual observer that Malaysia's opposition now represents multiracialism whereas the BN represents old-style race-based politics.
Indeed, much has been made about how race politics went out the window last March, and everyone has a story about elderly Chinese aunties voting for the Islamic Pas for the first time.
In reality, however, it is merely the racial balance between the opposition and the BN that has changed.
The Malays have stayed with the BN, while the non-Malays have crossed over to the opposition.
Anger over the distribution of wealth and the perception of a corrupt government caused a 5 per cent swing away from the BN among the Malays, but these were largely urban voters. Rural Malays, who depend heavily on the government for their livelihood, have stayed with the BN.
Today, the ruling coalition is seen more than ever as a Malay base and the opposition, a camp for non-Malays. Race remains a major factor in this fluid political scene.
It is proving an uphill battle for the BN to win back the non-Malays. For the first time, the minorities see in Anwar a leader who has promised to safeguard their interests, and who has a real shot at the country's top job.
But sentiment among Malays is more divided. Some quarters want Malays to believe their interests are taking a backseat.
Note the surge of activities by Malay non-governmental groups, often linked to Umno, to push for Malay interests.
Note the stream of articles in the mass-selling Utusan Malaysia championing Malay rights and criticising minorities' demands.
Note also the “unity talks” between Umno and Pas. The talks ground to a halt after a backlash from Pas’s coalition partners, as well as Islamic party stalwarts who distrust Umno.
What is clear is that an old battle is being played out: both Umno and Pas vying for Malay support.
In this tussle, the opposition seems to have made at least one major misstep. A call by its Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim to allow non-Malays in the Malays-only Universiti Teknologi Mara has not gone down well among Malays.
In the short term, Umno may benefit from the opposition's insistence on defending its multiracial line.
But in the medium term, Umno has much to lose. The more fervently it pushes the Malay cause, the more likely it will be to further alienate minorities and its non-Malay coalition partners.
The contest in this constituency is as much about race as it is about Anwar.
Attend any opposition gathering here, and it is evident that opposition leaders show a determination to be multiracial. With the non-Malay vote in the bag, they want to secure the Malay vote by not straying from this line.
The BN is gunning for the Malay vote.
The Permatang Pauh by-election may shed some light on where Malay loyalties lie, but it will not reveal any magic formula for a new configuration of power.

Perak MB defends Exco men held for alleged graft
"The Pakatan Rakyat state government did not approve a housing project costing RM180 million at Seri Iskandar. The two Exco members could not have approved the project since it does not exist," said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin.
Describing it as a political conspiracy, he said the case would not affect the running of the state government.
Mohammad Nizar, who had earlier chaired a Pakatan Rakyat meeting at his residence here, said the state government would not stop the ACA from investigating its state assemblymen.
Also present were PKR vice-president Dr Lee Boon Chye, state PKR chairman Ismail Yusof, state DAP chairman Datuk Ngeh Koo Kham and state assemblymen.
The ACA yesterday detained the two Exco members and four men for corruption involving a housing project costing RM180 million at Seri Iskandar near here.
They were also believed to be involved in bribery in the form of sexual favours.
The ACA said three of them including an Exco member were detained after receiving bribes over RM100,000 for speeding up the processing of a housing project.

Liwat: Khairy cabar Anwar sumpah sahut Saiful
"Saya ulangi atas Semangat Putera (Umno), kita cabar sekali lagi, buatlah (sumpah) sebelum pilihan raya (hari pengundian),"katanya lagi.
Dana PRK BN Dirampas Di Hong Kong?
"CM (Musa) marah betul atas kebodohan Michael Chia kerana bawa wang tunai.
